The Wedding Style Guide team knows that you want winter to be a time of rest and relaxation. We’re doing the hard work for you, refining great ideas–we have the cold months covered.

The crisp air has given us renewed vigour. When I stumbled on the first poppies of the season at our flower market, I couldn’t resist. Bursting with colour, they were the perfect inspiration to venture outdoors for our casual, country style wedding story.

We have a pre-wedding party for when the weather really sets in with our book club bridal shower. Curl up with your best girlfriends, a mug of hot chocolate and the most desirable coffee table books.

Our fashion feature shows you this season’s best cover up options. Faux furs from Paris, shrugs and the most divine jackets all make the perfect aisle statement. Teamed with metallic shoes and felt headpieces, we give you new reason to be a winter wonderland bride.

This year we have had overwhelming interest from our international readers. In response to features on some of the US’s most popular wedding sites, we launched the WSG blog on styleguide.com.au, a place to share advice and ideas with other stylish brides worldwide. This gives you a chance to get to know the WSG team, after all, we will be with you every step of the way in your planning.

With our eyes firmly on all things international we shared a moment with Deborah Lloyd, Creative Director for Kate Spade in the UK. Also in London, elizabeth Syer reports on the most exciting bridal designers–this season romantic, extravagant and glamorous gowns are charging onto the British scene. We’ve also included the first of many stunning weddings from the US for even more great inspiration.

For those of you who are busy planning over the winter months, make the most of the down time to relax, refresh and be inspired.
